Well I don't remember how the brakes felt before the car sat for a while, but now the pedal has to go in a ways before anything happens, what would cause this? Is it just time to bleed the brake's? Thanks guys. _________________ '88 Formula

How long has the car sat? there are several problems that are possible. when a car sits for too long the brake fluid can become saturated and cause a mushy condition just a possibility. Pulling the tires off and taking a quick look will definitly eliminate some variables though. Also bleeding the brakes is cheap insurance as well. _________________

I would bleed the brakes, and get some fresh fluid in there. If anything, it is cheap insurance.
I do notice after driving other cars, that my camaro brakes do feel kind of funny also, there is amost a dead spot before the engage, much more pronounched than other cars. I honestly dont' recall if it was like that stock, I have had the big brakes on here for so many years, its hard to remeber what the stock brakes were like. |

i agree with others.. pump all the old fluid out and add new. which will also bleed them.
everytime i have experianced soft brakes it was due to air in the lines. |

I agree three. Change out the brake fluid. Like izcain said, the brake fluid has likely taken on quite a bit of moisture which can cause those symptoms. I changed the fluid on my Aurora and it firmed up the pedal again. |

Brake manufacturers usually say to change the brake fluid once every 3 years anyways so looks like your right at that point. _________________
