Wow, those CTS's look amazingly good in race-prep. Me wants one now, lol.

The GTO just looks like a Grand Prix that's been downsized a bit though. Shrug

...Now why would you mount Chevy Tail Lights on a perfectly good Pontiac?

A better question would be; why would you mount perfectly good Chevy Tail Lights on a Pontiac? Squint Pokey pokey

i like the GTO... I don't see why everyone bags on the thing so much... its got one of the best interiors GM has ever managed to put out in the states, its got arguably the best stock exhaust note GM has ever squeaked out from an LSx powered car in the states (22db or something like that, the only one that tops it is the chambered exhaust seen on the Bergers), rear wheel drive, irs/ifs, in a fairly nice looking package, plus it doesn't really say "PONTIAC" anywhere on the car itself Razz

the only thing I can see wrong with it are the wheels, which a: look like crap, and b: are too skinny for the car but can't be easilly replaced because 1: there isn't much room, and 2: you'd have to order wheels from Holden in Australia since GM isn't currently importing or using any of the GOOD holden wheels Surprised

btw I like both cars, though I like the GTO a little bit better

as far as putting chevy things on pontiacs and vice versa...

a few nights ago I saw a late 4thgen firebird with an early 4thgen camaro front clip on it, and an ultra-z cowl/ram-air hood as well ... was all primered up and ready to be painted... it just looked weird

LMAO

don't see why y'all would whine about taillights, when people have swapped front clips entirely on thirdgens before and have actually posted it with pride (to be shot down very quickly LMAO )

Even Pontiac knows that the GTO isnt perfect, and this kind of criticism was expected.

They sort of rushed it and told Holden to have something ready for the 2004 model year. They barely had time to add GTO emblems let alone do something like retro looking hood scoops. Pontiac execs just wanted something for 1964-2004 anniversary.

By 2007 I think all of you will be extremely pleased once the Holden does a generation change and truely becomes a GTO instead of a car based off of another car.

On that note. The GTO rocks.
