I am desperatlely looking for a job, anyone have any ideas where an 18 year old from Mill Creek can find a place to work?
The last place I worked was at a warehouse, but I got laid off because they cut their hours.
Now I am looking for just about anything within the 20-30 hour a week range. _________________

Where/what are temp agencies?
I really want to find a good job helping a mechanic. I am not ASE certified or anything but I wouldnt mind earning minimum wage if someone were willing to teach me stuff.
I dunno... bad job market for teenagers, I cant even get hired as a bagboy. _________________

Eric, read the whole post too!!! Go here and start hunting!:
http://www.dexonline.com/servlet/ActionServlet?pid=bfull&last10Saved=false&resultForm=BASIC&queryText=employment
&queryType=HEADINGDD&locationVerified=true&state=WA&cityText=Ever
ett&surroundingAreas=true&metroID=1159&headingID=1443
(you'll have to cut&paste though, damn non-wordwrap!)
This should at least get you started.
The main problem with "helping" a mechanic is the liability. He will still be responsible for anything you might screw up, not to mention the insurance to cover you will jump.
A "friend of a friend" that does work in his garage on the weekends might be a better source of knowledge for that sake.
Otherwise, to make money to buy stuff, well, unfortunately, you get to learn the same lesson that 99% of the rest of us have had!
The ole Catch 22 goes crazy here!
Try some of the "out of the ordinary" jobs, if your parents are accepting of the idea, like Night stocker at the grocery store, or better yet, working at UPS as the truck packer! Those guys make some decent money, but they work from like 3 or 4AM to 7Am (or similar hours to those)
There are several dealerships down on 99, work at one of those as the "lot boy"! Get to wash a LOT of cars, but get to be around the latest/greatest too, and they have parts and service dept. there too!
Anything you get going on though, a word of advice: Work your ass off!! Even if it doesn't seem like it's going to get you anywhere, or any more bennies. Work longer, stronger, harder and faster than the rest of your workmates. Believe me, it will be noticed (maybe not at first, but...) You will be made fun of by those same workmates, but when you get picked for the better shift, or the next promotion, or the "opportunity", it will all be worth it!
Remember the difference betweeen "Brown-nosing" and "ass-kissing"...

That is exactly what I am looking for. My last job was in a warehouse, damn good job. It just sucks cause they cut their hours, so all the newbies got cut (along with some older employee's).
That URL you gave me isnt quite working though... It says invalid search criteria... odd. _________________

I have fork lift experience.. I am very familiar with "Crown" products. But I have no licenses in it, I had to drive it illegally because certain companies are very short handed and like to ignore labor laws. _________________
