its worth a mention, besides, the disc changer is mp3 as well Smile

consideration is because unfortunately its an auto, however it has only 76k on it (carfax has actually verified that with no rollback reports or anything), just doesn't look like it would. Plus it fits nicely into my err... budget, i guess you could say.
talking me out of it because there are far better things I could buy (though what those things may be I haven't a clue)
I have no beretta anymore, and even if I did, I'm in texas, its in washington (and it was sold)

already made sure it was an L98 Smile
i've been going over the car for awhile, the guy hasn't really done a whole lot to it... was in storage for a few years (stored properly with no fluids, on jackstands and in a climate controlled storage according to him), and he replaced the starter, tires, plugs, wires, air filters, fuel filter, injectors, and also the rotor/cap/coil/module, and has a borla exhaust.

why he did some of it I haven't a clue (unless its a flood car, which I guess is entirely possible, but I don't think it is), but it kind of takes all the guesswork out of it, everythings been documented and the guy has receipts for pretty much everything, including the original invoice when he bought it for his son, he's pretty much got it all, its quite an impressive arrangement of papers.

A flood car in Texas? Didn't think there was enough water for a puddle, let alone a flood down there!

CarFax should have told you if it's had a salvage title IIRC. If it hasn't had that, you're probably safe (I think). Shrug

Actually, I am strongly considering purchasing a TA myself. Shocked It has been in the neighborhood ever since it was new, and I have always drooled over it. Now it's finally up for sale by it's original owner. It's in perfect shape, so I am definitely thinking about it. (Of course, I'd have to join the red team since it's a red GTA) Embarassed

No way! I'm not going to try and talk you out of it!! I've always thought that the T/A's looked SOOoooooo much better than Camaro's ever did, so I say:

GO FOR IT!!!!!

Besides, it sounds like the 'previous' owner took pretty damn good care of it, or at least attempted, which is more than I can say about SOME of the cars I've seen! Laughing

I used to think there wasn't enough water down here to make a duck happy... boy was I wrong...

in Houston when it rains (which oddly, its been raining harder and more often this past 6 months than it has up in the PNW), it usually floods a lot of the main streets downtown, and the closer you get to the gulf the worse it gets... its kind of like louisianna... just a different accent LMAO (and not nearly as bad sealevel wise)...

No salvage title, not sure if it'd even get one if it were a flood damaged car, but there are so many flood cars down here its not funny, dealerships sell them for almost new prices depending on the year Shocked

Schultzy, yes, the automatic problem can be fixed Wink
but I don't want it for a project car.
yet.

The one good thing about cars in houston is that since the place is so damn big, the majority of the miles are highway miles.

Eh, I don't know. I already decided against it since he wants too much for it. I could buy a '98 for what he wants for his 90, lol.

1990 GTA = 1 of 1,447 produced. take out the ones that have been totaled already, you are looking at probably less than 1000 of them left.

just thought i would through that out Wink

Yeah, that could be part of it, hehe. It just doesn't look as pretty up close as I had hoped. The seats are worn, the interior and the exterior are very dusty, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in forever, the front FX are scraped a bit on the passenger side, etc. Just little stuff mostly. I just don't want to pay that much for a project car. Shrug

What would Schultzy say about paying too much for a project?

Once the tune is right she will keep pace (or outpace) most of what these new high end cars do in the straightline and cornering for a fraction of the price. And she's mine!

I'm fine with what I've spent (other than parts that don't hold up to what you have paid for) and where the sled is headed.
