My wife is gone for the weekend and I bought forbidden food to eat. I have some pork rib tips and Johnsonville brats. Figured I could make a crockpot BBQ dish out of it. Anybody have a good BBQ sauce recipe to cook it in? Hurry. She comes home tomorrow night and the evidence needs to be gone! Get down and Boogie!

Someone needs to help you out.

Scale down as needed.

32 oz. Ketchup
32 oz. water
1 1/2 Cup sugar
3 medium onions chopped
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. red pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tsp. celery seeds

Bring to a boil and simmer three hours.

Or, an easier version.

3/4 cup thick ketchup, such as Heinz

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chipotle-flavored hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco, or more to taste

or, if you prefer the rub over a sauce.

4 teaspoons sweet paprika

1 tablespoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or ground chipotle powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Dude - she is soooo going to smell that in the house. I don't quite know why those yummy treats would be forbidden but you should just go pick up a bottle of Bullseye and get to eatin'.

Bon Appetite!

Wink

Thanks, Dewey! Cool

It's not really forbidden as much as, "You know that isn't good for you." Just not something I would normally make when she's eating with me. Wink

If she is still out of town, and you are REALLY wanting to BBQ.

You can build your own smoker cooker, from home depot, for cheap, using Terracotta. Very Happy
