Okay

Was rearended in my 89 firebird XS (looks like a T/A) and my hatch wont shut and my frame looks tweaked. Impacked bumper is pushed in the middle.

Damage by the gas tank area crinckled.

I am looking for a 88-92 firebird 6 or 8 automatic hard top. I have lots of parts from my other bird that will be totalled. I am going to buy it back and do a parts swap. ANd part out the rest.

So LMK what is available. Don't ask about parts yet. Still waiting on the body shop and insurance.

Yes basically and Xs is a base 6 cyl with Trans AM ground effects. Orginally does not have the air vents in the fenders. Or the T/A hood.

I got a T/A hood for mine last year.

WOW! my sisters 89 was an XS!!! i always just assumed after 88 that ALL birds got ground effects except formies. weird, there waws no badging other then the factory "FIREBIRD" on the fenders.. were they rare? unusual? or pretty much standard? is there anything else you can tell me about the XS?

<--- now thirsty for knowledge. i think i'll raid the "history" section on TGO Smile

According to a guy on TGO only 360 XS 6 cyl were made. Mine acctually has firebird XS on the badges.

I installed
Spit rear seats
Cargo cover
Cargo shade
Trans Am hood
Wonder bar.
Rear hatch release
Rear defroster
Trans AM Hood.

Was going to put in

Power windows
Power doors
Power mirrors
Power drivers seat.
Door cup holders.

Actually have all the parts to do the upgrades. But I am going to wait on the insurance.

That is why Iam looking for a new bird

found a good thread started by YOU actualy. http://thirdgen.org/techbb2/showthread.php?s=&postid=2778023#post2778023
it got rear-ended right? i got an 86 2.8 manual i could sell ya Thumbs up we could swap the auto tranny in from your old one, add GFX. your cool hood. etc.. could be a fun 2 weekend project.

the GFX would be the hardest part. but we would have a car right there to make the measurements from. Smile it can be done.

86 2.8 Xophertony

Is that the one your selling. I am looking for a hard top bird. Not really keen on T tops. They leak to much.

You still looking for a Firebird? Mine is available. It's highly modified project car that needs to be finished. Most the expensive stuff is done. Requires labor and a few parts to finish. Richland, WA.

I still have all the original V6 stuff too, except for the transmission. Engine would need a rebuild. It all goes with the car. That's part of the deal. I don't want any junk left sitting around. It all goes or none of it goes.
