i have a post on TGO in the electronics section about this, but i though ti would ask you guys too, since TGO is mean. anyway, i am retrofitting a 4th gen power mirror switch inmy car, and i can't make it work. anyone know which wires go to which other wires? i have looked at both wire diagrams extensivly and matched wires by function, no dice. if anyone can help me i would be forever in your gratitude. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Greetings from Kissimmee, Florida. Thought I would check in and see what was going on.
I've never seen the 4th gen wiring for mirror, but if similar to the 3rd gen, each mirror has 3 wires (correct?). One applies power and the others suppoly the grounds for the two different directions (up-down, side-side).n Find the power wire and the other two should just be trial and error. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken. |

| after looking at a random 4th gen and 3rd gen wireing diagrams I dont think it will work because the switches function differently. it will take some modifications to get it to function. Plus i think you will burn up, the 4th gen switch it has less amperage running through it then the 3rd gens. |
