So we all know I'm repainting my camaro this summer, I'm just curious what all of your favorite paintjobs are. I am open to suggestions. I would like to make the car stand out, but nothing too gotty.

If it were me, I'd go for the stock Hawaiian Orchid/Purple Haze that mie is. I've only seen 1 or 2 others here in Kitsap County and very few elsewhere.

Unless you're removing body panels to completely change the color, you have to stick with the stock paint job or it will look tacky as all hell.

I'd say stick with the black/silver combo you have now, but get a real good quality black paint, so it really shines in the sun.

If you're planning on going to the IROC, or early 90's ground effects, you could go solid black with heritige stripes, or something similer, but that can kinda look tacky.

Yeah the paint on it is shot, it looks ok in pictures but it is pretty gross. My goal is to get the newer effects and then go all black with white stripes. What do you guys think of something like that? Its something I have only seen once.

PM me your e-mail address and I'll do the best I can. Pictures don't do the color justice since the pearl in the paint doesn't show real well. Looks more blue than what it really is.

They did in 1966. Someone noticed it and Mopar had to change it.

Silver with Black GFX. Or all Black even the GFX. I like the red "Z/28" emblem on the GFX, it stands out....I personally prefer to delete all the badging except for the one on the dash on the inside and the little rectangular shaped emblem on the nose of the car.

to be honest i don't realy know a damn thing about them. i just love the looks of late sixties and 70s mopar action. road runner/GTX/Satalite, charger, baracuda. they all kick ass. i know a baracuda is the biggest, so for that reason i would want a smaller one like a charger (calling a charger "small" is weird), but i would settle for the smallest of the three, the Road runner, if i had to.

an old mopar is a permanent resident of my dream garage. i might as well list them off Very Happy
1. 1989 TTA. .........................once in a while driver, would see drive time once a month.
2. "plum crazy" charger. ..........big engine, full cage. the "drage race" car. for 1/4 use.
3. my GTA. ...........................the "normal" one. this would see drive time twice a week probably.
4. the "daily". .........................a 4 door BMW or somthing. new with a waranty. the one i won't touch. used to drive the kids/wife around
5. sazuki samurai. ....................huge lift. light blue soft top. dirt/snow toy.

ok, since im the mopar guy of the site i suppose heres some factory colors which came out of the muscle car wars

Plum Crazy (FC7)

Sublme Lime (FJ5)

I think this color would look cool on a maro:

One of my favorites, B5 Blue:
might do this on one of my cars

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly though, I think you should stay with a chevy color. 1975 Corvette Flame Red is my pick of the day. Im using it on my General Lee hopefully this summer Cool .

i know of a plum crazy 70 charger for sale, how much money you got????? Very Happy

mopars are all going for big bucks nowadays, probably doing the best out of the big 3 overall. funny, they were the underdogs back in the day and almost went out of business for poor quality junk....and now look, they bring in all the money. reproduction industry sucks, what little stuff is being reproduced is for the most part garbage. i got alot of GM catalogs that sell repro GM parts and hey, i can pretty much buy all the parts to build a 69 camaro or chevelle, the book is huge. parts for mopars are going for crazy amounts on ebag (and woohoo for me, ive spent the last year bidding on stuff for my cars). i actually know where i can get all three cars on your list if you want. let me know
