Well, this past weekend I decided to take my wife up to Victoria BC, the drive up was nice until we hit the border. We had to sit in traffic for almost 2 hrs, not so bad, except I watched my last 1/4 tank of gas go way down. (305 miles on 3/4 tank gas averaging 80mph). Finally got on to the island and to where we were supposed to be staying and the damn place was no longer in buisness (kinda funny when there website is still taking reservations) Had to find a place in down town Victoria, only place had a room with 2 single beds. Couldn't find a place for dinner that night (saturday) since everything was booked. Breakfast sucked the next morning. Rainned all day on sunday. Monday on the way home, the water pump went out around Everrett (sp?) Really wished I would have had phone #'s of people from the crew up there $340.00 later, back on the road and made it to Hillsboro by 9pm. I did notice that the Canadians are insane drivers and the roads suck more than downtown portland and the ruts on all the freeways around here. |
