i opened the hatch of the 1986 base bird today (can no longer remember why) and found this:

now, at first i was surprised. afterall, i just "fixed" this leak. not more then a month ago i re-sealed the deck lid. so what gives? then i take a look at my "seal". it has turned pretty hard and completly seperated from the glass along it's entire length. lessen learned, do not by AUTO GLASS SEALER in a small tube from napa. so i went to ACE hardware and picked up two DRI-Z-AIR brand air dryers (they have desicant in them and a catch basin, collects water and drips it down) and four tubes of silicone. one white and three black. white for the decklid and black for under the TTOP seals (i used the napa brand of WEATHER STRIP ADHESIVE, so i figure i will re-do those even though there is no evidence of a leak.) i FILLED that sucker with silicone, smothed it out and put a fem strips of masking tape over the whole thing. in a few days i'll take it off and examine how it dried. but i think i have finaly solved this cars leaking problem.

ACK Shocked

Hope you got it fixed. That is quite a nice little pond there. If the leak isn't fixed we should at least stock it with trout.
