I am thinking... Why not just shave the front turn signals, they are ugly looking and there is really no easy way to hide them except if you get a nice pair of clear covers (rice boyee!)

Would this pose an legal issues though? I mean if I had blacked out signals I am sure the cops would be like "put the stock one sback one"

But should I worry about this and just try and play off the "Well I bought it like this officer" approach.

Just curious, because I reall think it would look really nice and clean.

its illegal, you have to have front turn signles. you can shave them up front, but you need to relocate them somehow.

not legaly, i am thinking really hard on how you would 'shave' the rears.

to be raod legal, you need to have front/rear turns, front/rear side markers, and brake lights. to drive at night, you rear running lights, and least a drivers side headlight.

I was going to put a piece of duct tape behind the fender, and then put some bondo down. then when it dries I can remove the duct tape, and BAM, shaved turn signals.

And the bondo thing, a joke. I was gonna weld some metal over them.

Hehe, cool.

I was a little confused as you why you'd want to shave the taillights. Laughing

That would real bad ass though, maybe on a bird a and not so much a 'maro.

I have seen custom mini trucks with like indiglo plexiglass painted body color, but they still light up correctly and are legal.

But... to clear up confuse.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can I shave the side markers on either the front or back?

Sure you can... but it won't be legal. Wink

I dont think you would really have problems with cops if you did it because its such a small detail they would probably not notice it. And, you could just play ignorant if they did pull you over for it I guess. Confused

That is exactly what I think. I mean having an illegal color of side marker is much more obvious then not having them at all.

I highly doubt I would get cited for it, unless I was in an accident or something.

if you do decide to do 'shave' them, dont do it like this. the bondo will eventualy crack if it has nothing to stick to. i know several people who shaved their antenna like this and applied 5 thousand dollar paint jobs and now its all cracking. you need to weld a piece of sheet metal on and then bondo it..............my 2 cents
