17-20 Feb at Ian's place (if it's still good for him). You can crash at my place, tho it's better than 20 miles from Ian's and that will give me a way home while my car is laid up. I am off 'til the 23rd since Wed the 22nd is my birthday (thought I would take that off too ) |

I don't know how Ian is set up, but I only have basic tools, nothing to do a swap with. I also need to move the motor from my place - I might recruit my bother-in-law or borrow his truck Assumig he can take Friday off. |

I just remembered.... since I'm retired Navy, I might be able to use the auto hobby shop on the Bangor base to do this, they should have almost every tool we need. I'll check tomorrow, since I'm not sure about guests, it's a pretty secure base. |

cool. then we would have a lift!
also my 86 just passed DEQ (emmissions inspection) with flying colors. as long as the detailing place does not mind cleaning mold i will be driving the 86 (with its mild header leak and its 23 sexy mile per galon) up to washington. that car PULLS hard for a little 2.8. perhaps once we get your 3.1 running we can race i bet anything the 3.1 kicks my ass. |

Hobby shop is a go! Open Friday and Saturday next weekend, 11-7 on Friday, 9-5 on Saturday. Will be closed on Sunday due to the holiday on Monday. Manager thinks 2 days should be enough time to do a swap. No stall reservation necessary, first come - first serve, and Fridays typically don't get busy until 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon.
I evacuated th AC today, so we won't have to worry about a leak, since this is a military base and very haz-mat conscious. |

ALSO: if anyone else from p-town wants to help i'll glady drive ya!
i will probably be leaving the portland area around 9AM. al hasse, i will need the address of the military base since i will be ariving around noon-2PMish depending on traffic. so i will have to meet you guys there, allready in progress.
do the "stalls" have lifts? i assume all have air. and i assume there are also all manner of tools available. |

The evac hasn't cost me anything yet, I'll pay when the systm is recharged. The people at the shop (Mobile Radio) are friends of mine.
The stalls do have lifts, most of them anyway. They also have every tool that you may have forgotten to bring, and a parts store, though not extensive.
I'll PM you with directions to the base. I'll have to meet you at the gate unless you have some sort of military ID to get yourself in. |

The Auto Hobby Shop on the Bangor Submarine Base, just north of Silverdale on Highway 3. I'll PM directions to my place as well. I intend to start on Friday morning when the place opens at 11 (they are only open Friday and Saturday this weekend due to the holiday on Monday). I'm going to leave the car there on Thursday so it will be cool when work starts. Also I may need help transporting the new motor from my place on Friday. |

Yes, I took vacation time in conjunction with the holiday on Monday (Fri-Wed). Your're welcome to shoe either or both days.

I'll try to borrow my brother-in-law's pickup truck - shouldn't be a problem.
