Looks like the smog nazi's are going after the recreational biker now.

Worst part of it to me is the ownership rules. Says you can only own one emission exempt kit bike in your lifetime, and that you can't sell it for 5 years after you get it. The other bad thing I see is that you can't make any changes to your store bought bike if its an 06 model or newer. Not even exhaust.
Hopefully they won't do this to cars. Takes alot of time and money to get a car tested and approved for emissions. It's more then just the motor. Example being the hood scoop on the gto. EPA veto'd it for the 04 model until emission testing could be done. Usually takes 2 years but they rushed it through. Imagine trying to get your kit car certified.
One thing I can see some people trying.. Says even a court can't make you sell your kit bike in the first 5 years.. Buy some really expensive kit bike and then declare bankruptcy? |

In other news.
1 Cow produces more greenhouse gases (methane) in a single day, than a new SUV does (assuming 12k miles per year).
Wonder when the environmental nazi's will go after dairy farmers for f***ing up the env. |
