I think I am going to install gears in a posi/disc rear end that I have. Brandon got my courage to an all time high that I won't fark it up.
Now the question. On TGO's calculator 4.10's would top out in 4th gear at 110 mph @ 6200 rpm. That seems almost perfect. Should I go with 4.10 or 3.73? Any input would be appreciated.

Since you have over drive, you can easily live with the 4.10s... however.... traction will be absolute hell my friend.

True on the OD, but traction may no be that bad. My best run in Portland this fall was with almost no tirespin. I have a very good feel for how much power the car could use. When I exceeded that level then the times were horrid. I'm thinking with the lower gears I could still baby it off the line but it will not be prone to bogging. I don't know, I'm kinda stumped on this one. Don't want to have to do it twice. Embarassed

For a quarter mile car the 4.10s sound good. If you do much freeway driving i'd consider the 3.73s. Kind of depends on what you want to do, and what you do most.
