if he has the typical ls swap issues his redline is gonna be much lower than 8500. Boyfriend has a crx (unfortunately) currently in the middle of a build and this is civic/crx # 4 or 5 for me to be working on. Our buddy's civic had an ls swap he didnt do right, his redline set at 4500, fried the dizzy and after that couldnt get the motor to fire up.
but the typical swap issue is the low redline (among other various electircal issues) If I can smoke not one but 3 hatches with swaps in my 2.8 Im sure you can too. Just remember it's 80% driver too Wink

BTW I am a girl so that bf comment shouldnt freak anyone out lol

Yes, and in our little corner of the internet, moderators flirt with you by doing this. Wink

(kidding dewey!)

Thanks for the info, if your smoking them in your 2.8 I feel much better about that. This kid has a rev limiter and god does he bounce on that, it always makes me laugh.

Tell the boyfriend to help you turbo or 350 swap your 2.8
Then again, if you already beating him with a 2.8, well, thats just bragging rights for you. It's good to have some estrogen on this board, welcome.

The way Spazz is talking she may not need the boyfriends help. Never know she may be into doin things herself. I know i've seen pics of Rod's wife Jen workin on their Maro. That's probably his hp secret.. She build the motor and you do the rear end Rod?? Razz

I was set straight the other day. ALMOST ALL B SERIES MOTORS ARE VTEC equipped. The only exception is the B series B18's that were put in 1988-1993 Acura integras. Those are non-vetc motors. All B16 motors will be V-tec according to my go to guy about honda's, depending on the motor it will vary between DOHC and SOHC.
