Time to move back to the piston world. So if you or anyone you know wants to get into the Rotary world...
1982 Mazda RX-7 GSL
Has collector license plate
12A Rotary Engine:
-Pineapple Racing stock rebuild in 2004 at 267,000miles
-Rats nest removed
-3rd generation strut tower brace adapted
-SA intake custom built
-Aluminum water pump and housing
-Recent tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)
-Carburetor rebuild
-Updated engine fuse box
-FC 80A alternator upgrade
-Dual groove alternator pulley
-FC 2nd gen starter upgrade
-MR2 electric fans (one for A/C one for Cooling)
-Racing beat header
-Custom header heat shield
-3" stainless exhaust: 2 Borla mufflers, Resonator and Cat
-500 miles on oil change
5 Speed manual transmission:
-Rebuilt with new synchros, shift forks and seals
-Iron bearing retainer from FC
-Master, Slave and Line replaced
-OE Sachs clutch
Disc brake rear end with limited slip (LSD)
-Acura TL 16" wheels
-KYB struts/shocks
-Bushings/Ball joints/etc in the front have polyurethane replacements
Optima Yellow Top battery
Mazdaspeed grounding plate
Ignition switch converted to relays (switch now triggers relays rather than have all the power go through it)
2 gauge pod with an autometer boost/vacuum gauge
SRP Racing custom rotor pedals
Hand made shift knob and choke knob
Glass sunroof with storage bag
Alpine CD player
Infinity 6" speakers in the rear, Phoenix Gold 4.5" in the front, Rockford amp
130MPH speedometer installed - mileage was transferred from the old 85mph speedo
Power windows
New moog idler arm
Cons:
-Cruise Control is inop
-Typical dashpad cracks. Mazdatrix sells a close fit cap that looks factory and it's inexpensive.
-A/C hoses need to be replaced
-Oil cooler lines weep a little at the crimp
-One mismatched tire. Had a flat and the tire was discontinued.
The close up flash makes the car look pink, I assure you it's not. It's painted with 1999 Neon PR4 Red paint. Always garaged since paint job. A lot of time and energy has gone into this car but it's time to move on. I have owned in for over ten years. Had 272,000miles when I purchased it. The plan was to put a second generation turbo 2 engine in it, but can't seem to find the time to put the parts together and make it happen. I'm sure I'm missing more things that have been done to this old girl.
Asking $4500 obo

Still a sweet little car! Had me entertaining trade ideas, but I'm sure you've got your eye set on something allready. Be sure to show it off when you get it.
Good luck on your sale. |

Yep. Have plans but need to find this one a new home first. It's definitely cool but I realized after the Camaro was hit, that it became my hobby car out of convenience and not out of desire. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
