Choices were made...

Cars were purchased in the dark without a test drive...

Smashed fenders were rolled in parking lots...

More to come... Cool

'87 Cressida (MX73). The Japanese Cadillac. 136K miles. 5M-GE runs like a top.

Super base (as Cressidas go). It's a slicktop, no trip computer, no stereo equalizer, no leather, manual seats.

Worth noting that this is the first time in thirteen years that I have purchased a car without a sunroof of some type. Laughing

I'm liking it man, I have seen first hand some pretty cool Cressida that would get it on pretty good.

Long-term I would love to find a stock 1JZ/Auto pullout for it for a good combination of cheap+power+cruisability, but I think I would be remiss to pull out such a smooth-running low-mile 5M.

So is that what the drug dealers drive in Japan?

So anyway...

Clip repaired, yo:

Not pictured: the car ten minutes later after I had washed it... Doh!

Lol, (not as drastic as it looks):

Not pictured: me replacing the radiator today while it snowed...

Mazda guys:

Not pictured: me buying wheels in a WalMart parking lot...

Radiator: in. Cooling system: flushed and filled with G-05. Snow: melted. Wheels: on. It's time for a gray day photoshoot, yo:

Not pictured: bad handbrake drifting.

JDM yo: Cool

Miata guy: Dumb mod, well executed. Grudging respect is granted.

As far as the Cressida goes, saw it today for the first time since buying-and-towing day and it is superb. I want one.

We need to do a brewery tour in Tacoma. There's tons of good shizzle here now.

If you're gonna be a stance kid, go all in. The Miata is legit. Cool

You're all about that Toyota lyfe now huh Aaron? lol

I dig it! the Drift scene is pretty big in my area since we have events nearby in Canby. The guys into it are generally pretty rowdy car guys.

Oh, and if that 5M runs good, just leave it until something inevitably happens to it.

Thanks man! It's been a great weekend rig so far. The 5M does run great. No power at all, but it will almost certainly stick around. Its curve reminds me of a late 80's BMW.
