If that isn't a car I just saw at the portland fb meet, then its the 3d car of that color i've seen recently. There were 2 at that meet. One was a beautiful car that has pretty much been restored. New paint, interior etc.

Taking bets now: blown 305 or blown 700R4?

I'm betting on the latter, plus a side of quarter-million miles.

As oddball as it is, I do sort of like it. Not sure how capable it really could be but it would at least be like a big go kart.

Holy crap, check that giant kink right before the regulator too!

Brandon would know better than I, but it seems like going from a smallblock to a 400 with smog heads on it is somewhat of a sideways move power-wise.

4x and 6x heads are actually pretty good. Worst part is they're low compression. So unless you stroke it, you'll be like 8:1. The other bad part of that build, I don't see any mention of replacement rods.

I'm running stock rods as well, but you gotta watch your rpm. Stock pontiac rods are cast iron, not forged. This is where pontiac gets their rep as a rod chucker.

The stupidest thing about that line routing.. besides the obvious. That's actually the side the stock pontiac fuel pump would be on. On my 74, there's some stupid line routing from the camaro side steel lines under the harmonic balancer to the pump. Here its on the correct side allready and they still screw it up.

Looks like he's using the stock in-tank FI pump and lines to feed a regulator to feed the carb. No mechanical pump. Doesn't change how dumb it is, but there's an explanation. Laughing

Here's a humorous Fiero custom.... Some have said it reminds them of the cartoon car in the Ambiguously Gay Duo skit.
