So a couple weeks ago I went out to the Duck for the night. Come closing time a friends daughter offered to drive me and the jeep home. I said sure... well she started the jeep up in gear and it promptly rammed the Duck. Hit me on its way by, since I wasn't even in the vehicle yet.

Jeep suffered some scuffed bedliner on the front grill bar. Duck suffered a $22k hole! Shocked Actually didn't go clear through, but evidently screwed things up significantly. Insurance people kept wanting to know about my vehicle damage. Evidently didn't believe there was nothing. Finally sent them a pic and said.. hey, see that scuff mark? Thats it.

Side note, if you ever give someone permission to drive your vehicle. Know that if they crash it goes on your insurance.

Oh no!
That's a definite downside to "loaning" someone your vehicle. Whatever damage they cause is your responsibility.
Is this the second time the Jeep has won out in a physical confrontation? Doesn't speak well to safety via crumple zones in an actual accident. Laughing

It's had a jeep roll backwards from a failed brake line. I backed away a couple times til it was obvious he wasn't backing intentionally. My light bar stopped him.

Oh.. also forgot that it's been rear ended by a ford ranger. That incident bent up my tire swing but caused no other damage. The ranger lost both front fenders, grille and hood.

Yeah, insurance companies aren't really into that whole "loaning" thing.

$22K is pretty impressive, any pics of the aftermath for a morbidly curious carpenter? Laughing

Got one pic.. but doesn't really look too impressive other then seeing a big glass window twisted. I guess it cracked the header over the windows and screwed up the plate in the floor as well.

And that little scuff to the left of my light is the damage.
