That is very cool. I am really surprised at how much fuel is collecting on the walls. I wonder how much of that is because of the plexi material and it being really smooth instead of the slight roughing up cast material, or if even in a cast plenum you see similar results. You can really see by the way the fuel acts, why DFI or even port injection right before the valve is more efficient.

I'm surprised he stuck his finger in there. Very scientific. Lol Guess you call that hands on.

I remember reading a white paper years ago on the coating of fuel inside the plenum and runners. Apparently the fuel will collect until it reaches a saturation point, and then additional fuel will slough off and be vaporized. So theoretically you're not losing as much as it might first appear, but certainly it is less efficient since fuel that was tuned for went through the injection or venturi process but was not immediately burned.

I would be curious to see that test performed with a draw-through supercharger.

That is a cool video. Would have never guessed so much liquid splashes around.

Seemed like he delayed when his finger started getting whipped around like he didn't think it would keep happening. Once he figured out it wasn't going to stop then he couldn't pull his finger out fast enough! Laughing

MegaSquirt used to call this X-Tau, but in MS2/Extra and newer switched to calling it EAE (Enhanced Acceleration Enrichment). It's a big help with tuning TBI, but I never used it on port injection setups.
