When I get there Im thinking of selling the iroc for a 4th gen or keeping it and beef it up. If I keep it I think I might do subframe con., lower control arms, panhard, sway bars, convert LT1 intake, march pulley, ls1 injectors, ignition misc, mild cam, and 1.6 rockers w screw in studs.

Keep it or sell it?

I'm rather fond of the thirdgens. And not particularly a fan of the 4thgens. But you need to descide what you want. If you are willing to drop the money into a car, that you will never be able to sell for what you put into it, then by all means, go nuts with the 3rdgen. If you just want to buy something pretty fast, and not mess with it, go the 4thgen route.

Im quicker than a Lt1 right now or about the same. I was just thinking I could pay the 3rd gen off and be free to make it nice. Or have a 4th and have payments and barely mod. I think Ill keep it if it makes a 3000mile trip it earned its place. I may do a lt1 swap maybe but I just hate doing the wiring lol. Either way after this trip I might need a engine n tranny so if anyone has a spare l98 Ill buy off them to rebuild or what not.

Hehe don't think that just because you had the upper hand on the street that you are quicker. ET times and Dyno numbers will tell you if you are or not. I made that mistake once hehe.

If you like working on the car keep the thirdgen and do some engine research.

Like John said, if you want something that's quick and not touch it (Unless you have $$$$$,) Go the 4th gen route!

I havent taken to the track for numbers but as far as I see it on the street is where it matters.I like to race on street personal pref. Even if you have a 800hp and you cant hook on the street and you lose against a 500 hp you still lose. Plus it matters in the drivers too so I cant say for certain mine is faster I wont make a false statements I go by experiance. Plus the 3 i did race were autos and mostly stock so most likely a manuel would beat mine w a good driver. Agree to disagree lol The real facts were lost ages ago. Smile (anchorman)

I think Ill keep it I did some looking up and Ill know what I want to do. Ill keep it and do a cam, head, and stealth ram swap when I go up to everett. Goal for me is to keep up with the LS1s mabe LS6 Rolling Eyes

Could always keep it and do the LSx swap. That is getting pretty popular.

I would but its a expensive swap at least 6-7 grand right? I dont have the time or tools to modify and do that extensive of a swap. It would be nice and if I saw a window id diff. do it.
