Specific to the rocker and lifter and hole in the head.

I believe pushrod diameter is determined by the heads and rockers.

One thing to keep in mind is that you should use the same brand of pushrod checker and pushrods to ensure you get the actual correct length.

I ordered a comp cams pushrod checker so I was planning on getting comp pushrods. My rocker arms are jegs alluminum pieces, cam is Lunati, lifters are GM... lol

Pushrods ordered!
Let's talk clutches, which one do you guys have and what do like/not like about it? And how much did you pay?
I had a stock replacement one off the shelf at a parts store before and honestly it seemed to work fine, aside from my hydraulic issues I had for so long.

I have a centerforce DF, it holds fine at the power levels I'm at, and has lasted a lot of miles. I honestly have no complaints, but someone like Paul who has ran several different ones might have a better comparison to some of the stuff like the different stages from Spec vs CF and the others.

That little smallblock will not be able to do anything to an off-the-shelf clutch IMHO. I'd leave it in there if it's not worn or glazed.

Well I'm going to have to change my name from fiveoformula to five7formula!
The old bird lives! Went for about a 30 minute drive tonight, runs pretty decent even without a tune! I have poly motor mounts now and the spohn torque arm, first impresions of that are awesome! Also ended up going with a ZOOM clutch and wow, to my surprise pedal effort is even easier than my old "off the shelf" schucks/o'reilly clutch. Feeling pretty good about everything, oil pressure is nice, I may have set the base timing a little high as it struggled a little to start after it was warm, but for now, just going to break it in nice but not too nice, then tune it and work out a few more details like getting some braided fuel hose and I need a new oil dipstick tube.
Thank you guys for all the helpful advice!

I had a Zoom clutch on my HSR 350 as well, it did nicely for the time I had it.

So far I really like the feel of it, its the "kevlar" one, trying to figure out why my last clutch felt so heavy.

just out of curiousity, do Roller tappet cams require the same "break-in" that flat tappets do?

No real breakin for rollers.

D- your oem clutch was stiff because the pressure plate was doing the holding. The kevlar clutch gets its grab from the material so they can ease up the pressureplate pressure. Be careful and don't slip kevlar much. If you glaze it its done.

I will keep that in mind, thanks.
This clutch came with a warning to break it in with 700 "in town" miles before giving it full throttle, is it easy to glaze over when new?

Full throttle is ok as long as the clutch is engaged. Its slipping under power you want to avoid. Easier to glaze when its still developing a wear pattern

Did you ever calculate what your compression ratio is?

Pics!

So.. I am actually worried about hood clearance now that it just dawned on me the engine probably sits higher than the 305 did with these new mounts....
And I still have ugly bent up stock fuel lines, will get some braided lines soon.

Some of you may have already heard.. 3500 miles on that kevlar zoom clutch and it slips like crazy all the sudden. Ive put tons of miles on other clutches and never had one act like this.
Pretty irritated with it.
Now ill probably order a centerforce dual friction and that just takes money away from other things I was going to do to the car..... ARG... end rant*
