Looks like most of your pictures are down.
whenyou say 5.3 do you mean Gen1 or Gen3?
If Gen3 I will be interested, and have many more questions. |

None of the 5.3 stuff will work in a thirdgen. I'd wager that's why he's getting rid of it all.
If you want to get rid of the truck intake/TB/fuel rails for cheap and nobody else wants them, let me know.
I'll take the paddle mirrors. Do you have the driver's side plastic trim piece with no opening for mirror controls? I need one of those too. I can trade you for a piece with the mirror control opening if you are putting regular mirrors back on the car and if you need it.
It's this piece but without the cutout for the mirror controls. The '83 should have had it if it had an interior when you got it.
It was difficult to order a Camaro or Firebird so base that it got those mirrors. I've only ever seen one other set in person and I own them. I see that car is an absolute stripper model. No A/C, non-aero mirrors, dummy light cluster. The only cost added options I see are rear defrost, 3spd auto trans and FM stereo. Was it a Duke or V6 car? _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Pulse wipers.
Also the very basic tape deck and tone controls on the radio. GM made radios without tone control, as well as AM/FM (no tape) and AM only radios. The Firebird your current non-aero mirrors came out of had one such radio.
Luke, is the glovebox RPO lable in any sort of readable condition? I would like to take a look at it for curiosity's sake. |

Dang, I missed the wipers.
My observation of the radio is correct. It is upgraded from the base AM radio that you could get. I just didn't list out all the intermediate options.
'83 was pre-RPO code labels if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure the first year with an RPO tag in the console was '84 _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Ah yeah. SPID was '84 and on. Before that it was just the tag on the core support. |

If you do not have those blanks I have an abundance of them. Early fire birds use those same pieces. |

I specifically need the blank piece from the driver's side that covers the mirror control area when there are no remote operated mirrors installed in the car. That piece would only be on cars without aero mirrors. I am attempting to delete the remote mirror adjuster in my car.
I need the piece circled in red, but as a blank piece instead of the mirror control.

Alphius,
It also came on all cars of that era without power door locks, making them pretty common on base model fire birds and Camaros. I deleted the remote mirror on mine, so I have two on each side in my 86 firebird and a few extra in a box under the bench. |

Huh? The power lock delete plate is the same as the mirror delete? Score!
Thanks Tony, I misunderstood you earlier. Do you feel like dropping one in an envelope and sending it to me? If not I think I can find one at a junkyard pretty easily. I'll cover shipping and a beer for ya. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

My first Camaro ('82 SC) was a total stripper. It did have the aero mirrors, 2.8L and auto trans. But other than that, it was no options! It had an AM only radio with only front speakers and manual everything! I miss that car!
BTW, I think WA auto dealers were required to order rear defrosters which is why it is difficult to find a clean rear hatch. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

I can throw some in a padded envelope. PM me your address. don't worry about the postage, it will be less than $5. You can buy me the beer at the next gathering. Cows perhaps. |
