Hey guys, I may have a problem with my transmission/clutch. Does anyone know of a good honest shop in the PDX area?? Preferably in Beaverton. Thanks. |

Stay away from tualatin transmission. Ive had great luck with clark county transmission in Vancouver and Metro Trans in woodland.
What's your issue? Most shops don't know a standard from a hole in the ground . _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Thanks for the tip, Tualatin transmission was actually a place I thought about calling to, but anyway, the issue is this. After short amount of driving, if I come to a stop, my foot pressed on the clutch pedal, first gear is in place, and I'm still stopping there is weird noise coming from the clutch area I assume, like a friction sound, if I engage the clutch and start driving it will stop. This does not happen all the time....Any ideas?? |

If you pop it out of first when it is making the noise but keep the clutch held down does the noise continue?
Is it hard to shift at all? Is the friction point where the clutch starts grabbing close to the floor or close to the top of the travel? _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

The noise will stop when I pop it out of first.
It is not hard to shift at all. The noise happen when the pedal is all the way to the floor. |
