Just got the hooker shorties for my car. Now I'm stuck with the question, what are my options for a y pipe? I see the one hooker made for these headers but it cost more than the headers did. Wondering if I have any cheaper options here for a y pipe??

Ive seen people take the stock y-pipe and modify it to make it fit with headers. But then you likely have smaller diameter pipe, and the "t" rather then a "y".

Have the exhaust shop make one, which cost me almost as much as buying the one for them (Ive got different brand).

Yeah, that stock Y-pipe is crap.

Having a shop do it can vary widely in both quality and price.

You could always ask Paul do it but he needs to work on mine first. #$%^&* Razz

Do you guys know anything about the quality of the hooker y pipe? Sounds like either way I'm going to spend around 250.

Used exhaust parts are pretty easy to find and cheap. I wouldn't shy away from a used Y-pipe as long as there are pictures to verify it's still in decent shape.
