The weather is just breaking so now is the time to sell a Camaro... thus the rusted junk going for three to five K.
I think you could sell it in a couple weeks at two and maybe a bit more if you are willing to wait.
The thing that bugs me is that a lot of the cars we comped last month are still up for sale. A high-priced market does not equate a moving market. |

Don't let it stop ya though, I have been known to try and flip cars for way more than they are worth in my day too. Just expect to get lowballed and sit on it for a long time at $5k. |
Well, if I am low balled to 3k, then I'm getting what I really want. I just don't want to ask for 3k and get low balled to 1500. _________________

Sounds good.
That's a great strategy for dealing with craigslist.
Any interest on it yet?
I think we just wanted to make sure your expectations were realistic, and it sounds like you have it under control.
As an apology for derailing the thread, have a nice $1200 Camaro!

Take it to the portland swap in on the 5th and sell it for $8k.
Frankly think you're in the ball park. It's a 2nd gen not a 3d gen. |

Whew, at least he changed the 305's timing belt. I've heard that's a real bear to do.

Craigslist. The place where you want 8k, ask 10k, and end up getting 5k. Everyone low balls there and it cracks me up when people get really pissed off about lowballs. My buddy just offered a guy $300 for a toyota v6 motor that the guy has listed for $500. The guy started yelling at him, calling him names... People are crazy.
(not knocking you at all James I tend to think it's reasonable if the car is in as good of shape as you describe) _________________

Do you remember how it looked on the outside when you bought it? Also, do you remember where it ended up a week after you sold it? |
Ok, so add some body work by me and a $300 Maaco paint job. $1200 for a decent cruiser. And I never had a mechanical issue with that car. The guy who bought it from me thrashed it. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Spanaway asks why narrow the axle when you can widen the car. |

485hp seems like a bit much for stock LS1 with aftermarket controller, headers and cat-forward exhaust. |

He never says it is stock.
Specifically he mentions that he is selling it with a Venom module which is making me think it has a shot on it.
Like I said the guy could be blowing smoke but for the price it'd be worth a drive to Whidbey if you are shopping for an LSx. |

Would make sense for him to mention that in his ad. |

Match that LS1 up to this and you've got a nice ride! Wish I had more garage space and time.

I don't even look at the post if there are no pics. The guy obviously doesn't want you to know what a POS it really is! But, you're right, $1 is a reasonable price! |

The thing is there are a lot of people like that, so you can get deals by targeting people too stupid to post a decent ad.
And he's asking $300. |

If it has a title it could be the worst vehicle ever and still be a decent deal. I've bought a lot of really good stuff by checking out ads with no pictures.
This guy is still trying to sell this car. Could be fun with another cheap L67 dropped in.

Used to be Ebay was great for spelling mistakes. I got several excellent deals because people couldnt spell what they were selling. They've screwed that all up now though. |
