So it did it previously but now it does it everytime.doesnt do it under load. Doesnt do it in first gear. Around 2500 to 3500 rpms when i am wot or close to it , it bogs down and surges . Feels like nit getting fuel or something. Was also idling bad like it wanted to die . Adjusted fast idle cam. Still does same thing but now also does a small backfire. Loojed up in intraweb and seems to point toeards timing or fuel pump. But i trustvthe tried and true silutions of the members here , so looking for input. |

I would check timing, easy and free. Thats also what my jimmy was doing was bogging at middle rpms. Timing fixed most of it. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

We keep making plans for me to go over and help him with the timing, but our schedules haven't been compatible recently. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Could be any number of things.
You need to start with all the basic free checks: read plugs, check timing, check for proper timing curve, check fuel pressure, check proper operation of the pump shot and secondaries, ect.
My guess is that the pump shot is too small and the initial timing is too retarded (followed by a steep curve), but that is just a blind shot, worth what you paid for it. |

I was going to take it to carb place on kent when i got my other heads on and my new performer rpm. But that hasnt happened yet. I need to get a t top first . |
