Ok so today my car started a new problem. It just all the sudden bogged down almost dying then it backfires super loud out the exhaust and goes back to normal. I found cylinder 3 plug wire came loose. Put it back on and it still did it. I swapped the chip. And we'll see how things go . What might cause this

Sounds like a plugged cat that blew out and gave you your power back...

But you say it repeats>?

Oh yeah its repeating, if he hits WOT then let's off its fine but if he holds a steady light throttle rpms drop and then the car will die and fire back up with a loud backfire Idk what's causing it but it startled the crap out of me when we were driving lol sounds like a shotgun with his exhaust

Sounds like a fueling issue.

it ended up being the ICM, since i bought the dizzy as a whole i returned it and exhanged it for a NEW richporter dizzy rather than the a1 cordone reman. then the coil went bad so swapped that out too and now all is well!
