Switxh is good. I don't know what's up with motor. It worked awhile later. I am going to trace wires and see if I have a short. |

That's because they're always in the DOWN position. :O) _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I am dubious of a short. That would blow a fuse and not work again. I think you have a burnt out contact in the switch or possibly in the motor which is causing intermittent failure.
GM wiring was crap in general till the late '90's, but specifically their window wiring was downright retarded. All the wire is way undersized and the full motor load runs through the undersized switch. This resistance ups the amperage and can burn out the motor or the switch. |

Must be motor then, because I swapped the switches and no change. It has done this before but it looked like it was going to rain last night, so I became concerned. The motors look cheap enough, and I have read where people have upgraded the wiring to improve speeds. |

The wiring is only one aspect of it. You need to get the motors on relays, and to do that is tricky because they are two-wire motors. You use five-wire relays and you hook them up so they ground out when they're off. Once you get it figured out they work well, though.
The motor swap is also a PITA. You drill out the factory rivets and remount it with bolts and nylockers. Helps to have skinny arms. |

I've got a power motor in the door we swapped on the Berli, that is if Aaron hasn't already hauled the door off to the scrapper! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
