To be honest it's the entire 'restored cars' business that's like that.
All those dealers sell the same slicked up beaters to gullible old guys who want to relive their youth and GI's with a pocket full of Uncle Sam's money. |

85 Camaro w/ TPI (no IROC markings)
http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/2987109415.html
Exterior looks alright...and he says the interior is bad. $1300 seems like a decent asking price. _________________

Yep, Mercruiser 502 complete with re programmed computer, fuel injected intake, injectors etc. Computer was hacked and set up to run with 02 sensors.
The guy had it in a Toyota, swapping it back to it's roots should be a cake walk |

al im pretty sure ive seen that camaro...if your driving down trenton and when it turns to illahee rd going down the hill there's a blue camaro at the house on the right...was for sale last year but havn't seen a for sale sign on it in awhile...i'm pretty sure that's the car and 5000 is way to high for it in my opinion...i stopped and looked at it last year wasn't bad but for 5000 i would expect a car with no clear coat peeling for example...i don't think they had it for sale for that high though, but i don't remember |

That is the same car, right around the corner from where I live - I'm down the street after following Trenton to the left at the fire station. |

I'm not impressed. Most stock notchback cars were also fitted with the optional warp drive mechanism. This one clearly doesn't have that. |

Quote: | "Notchback" 1 of only 718 ever produced. |
According to RPO figures only 625 were sold. They may have produced 718 decks, but only 625 made it out on cars.

Production records show a total of 625 units were built during 1988 and 1989. The option was actually canceled before the start of production for 1989; a dealer bulletin in August 1988 announced its demise, instructing dealers to recall any and all GTA orders with the Notchback code on them. Still, PMD records show that one single car was built for 1989........ no doubt the car pictured.. ..from the 1989 Pontiac brochure.
