hey i was just wondering if i could get some help with picking out a cam. I have a 350 and runnin tpi with it but i am not sure what kind of cam i should use with the heads i got. If you guys could help me out i need to find a cam to go with these heads. Did you have any particular goals in mind or just want a well matched cam for max performance for those heads/tpi?

hey guys.. that was my cousin i had him post with my account... hes pretty much just tryin to keep the cam matched up to those heads without really sufferin from the tpi... no big goals in mind, just wants his birdie on the road.

He knows nothin tryin to get him lookin around, and myself dont know a whole lot bout the numbers and matchin heads/cam stuff.. i still learnin.

All those castings they list that it could be are way different.

IMHO Go with the Comp XE 262 cam on a 110LSA (if fuel injected get it on a 112.)

its a non roller block... putting 85 tpi unit on it.. think fuel pump and adj fuel pressure reg he should get?

also... computer wise... 305 one gonna work? i got 24lbs i was gonna give him not sure what needs to be done in the computer department.

gonna be gettin close to puttin this thing together finally.. a long lost birdy will be back on the road

85 tpi is no good imho. The computers are harder to play with and have more MAF errors. You can't put a 350 chip in it, without making one yourself. Without changing the chip to 24lb injectors, it's going to run pig rich.

Make sure to get a 350 knock sensor also.

Fuel pump wont be an issue (if the car had tpi originally). Same with the fuel pressure reg. You've got bigger injectors you certainly don't need more pressure.

is there somethin with the 85 TPI that wont allow me to switch out to a newer computer? how much do i gotta do to switch up to say a 350 computer out of 86's and up
