Hey this is a formal invite for the Cascade Crew to go on a cruise with SWIFT. Its a chance to take the cars for a cruise and enjoy the sunshine. Anybody interested if you are I will put it together. There is nothing like cruisin with the windows down, some tunes, a bunch of cars, and beautiful scenery with a chance to stop and chat with some car owners.
Thanks,

I am thinking the first weekend in April. Probably on Saturday the 7th assuming it does't have any confict with Cascade Crews Callender. SWIFT stands for Southern Washington Interstate Firebirds & Trans Ams. Still working on the location. I am thinking maybe a cruise to Beacon Rock or maybe Mt St Hellens... up highway 25 to the crater/bowl if it is open. Beautiful scenery and decent roads.

We will be meeting in Woodland WA at the Oak Tree Resturaunt (visable from I 5) parking lot at 10 am. We will be cruising through the National Park area up to the viewing area of Mt.St Hellens. If we get the sunshine like I think we will it promises to be a beautiful cruise. |

Keep us posted as it gets near. I always love a good excuse to take my car for a ride. It almost makes going to work tolerable. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Its in my parking spot at the apartment. I need a new PS belt and battery. I haven't done anything to it all winter. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

I will be starting a roster of people's names who are attending the cruise. Please send me a pm if you are interested and I will put your name down on the roster. (the roster gives me an idea of how many people are coming and so that people don't get left behind AKA checking in before we start the cruise.) The only requirement for the cruise is a day pass which will cost 5 dollars. The pass can be purchased from most gas stations, hardware stores, or forest stations located along the way. You can also purchase the pass online from http://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/mountsthelens/passes-permits/recreation/?cid=fsbdev2_027009&width=full
Hope to see you there!

Is anybody down to drive down there from the Seattle area together? I'd like to not cruise down by myself. |

We can meet at the Park-n-Ride at exit 127 (HWY 512). It's just over 100 miles to his start point from there, so about 7:30am would get us there in plenty of time for the 10:00am meeting place, and give us time to find it |

Please be advised to to inconsistent weather conditions we may be rescheduling the Sunshine Cruise. Please check the forums on April 6th for the status of the cruise.
Thanks for your patience,

As long as you don't push it back too far...
Apr 20-22 is the weekend for the Crew Dyno, which gives you only the next weekend (Apr 14) before it starts conflicting with preparations for dyno. I'd go rain or shine, but St. Helens better with nice weather |

No rain I don't mind. Snow however is a bigger problem for our cars and that is my concern. It has snowed up at the viewpoint on Mt St Helens. If it rains and doesn't snow then it should melt and we should be fine, but if it decides to snow then there are problems. And if I have to postpone I will make sure that it does not conflict with your other planned events. |

It looks like weather is going to cooperate so we will be continuing with the cruise. Looking forward to seeing you all there at the meeting location at 10am. |
