today i noticed my car started vibrating a lot i can feel it in the steering wheel, it wasnt like this yesterday, and at idle at a stop if i turn the wheel it vibrates a lot not only can i feel it in the wheel but the whole car shakes, i have power steering fluid, my alignment is way off, and my tires are bald, but why would it start all of the sudden? bad PS pump maybe? _________________

If your tires are bald, they could have started seperating and/or creating air bubbles.
You could have also had a weight fall off. |

If its shaking at a stand still i dont think weights have anything to do with it, it may be that a weight got tossed but youd never notice at a light, i say have someone turn your wheel while you check under the hood and go from there
idk any symptoms of a bad pump until it blows _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

In order to shake something needs to be moving. The way I figure it there is only one thing moving when you're at a stop that is part of the steering system. |

Ops, didnt notice that that phrase in it. Once again, bit by responding first thing in the morning.
Could it be the crack in the frame ordeal that the wonderbar is suppose to fix? |

My bad. I kindof skimmed it. I would assume a bad mount such as motor or something. Hard to imagine whole car shaking with a bad pump. |

If they find a family of raccoons living inside your old tires that would explain why the tires vibrate just standing still on the ground. If not, then you probably need to keep searching for the problem. |

Tell the tire shop to be careful. Dizzy raccoons tend to exhibit a negative attitude. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Do you have headers? If yes, how close are they to the steering shaft? |

This entire topic is one gigantic facepalm.
Luke posts up that he is leaking PS fluid, then post that the engine bogs when the PS pump is loaded (i.e. wheel turned at a stop) at get the following suggestions:
Bald tires
Cracked frame
U-joint
Motor mount
Family of racoons
Headers
These are all terrible suggestions brought on by people who cannot add one and two together. So I will help them do so.
PS pump is lubricated and cooled by it's own fluid
It had less than the proper amount of fluid
It died
Now it doesn't work
This is not rocket science, it is shade tree mechanics. I am a lousy drunken Polack carpenter and I can see through it. Come on! |

You're going to be embarrassed when they find raccoons. |
