I caught this piece on the news tonight and thought it would be worth a crew visit in the future. Maybe attend a car show on the grounds? Grand opening is June 2nd, which probably coincides with COWS, but just as well - opening weekend crowds are too much.

I drive past their site on the 705 often. It looks like they've built a cool building for LeMay's collection; considerably better than the one out in Spanaway now.

They say LeMay only ever sold one car, and eventually he bought it back.

I went to see the Lemay collection about 10 years ago, great collection, I am sure it will be a much nicer experiance with a new building.

I live pretty close to the site so I've been watching they're progress. I think it would be pretty cool to do a group visit there though.

Over the last couple decades I have heard about his collection and know several people that have seen it first hand. Would love to see it with the crew.

Don't quote me on this but I knew an old guy that said they knew him and that he started collecting cars when he was a garbage man for the city. People used to say that he would scope cars while working then drive back and offer on them. I think I am thinking of the same guy.........

Sounds the same. LeMay made built his empire hauling garbage. All the recycling and trash collection out here is still done by his company.
