I was just having a discussion on how to save money on my LS1 swap and the harness came into play.
I know the big deal is that my cluster is analog/manual and not digital, but what if I swapped in a digital dash, like the reproduction Intellitronix? If that worked it would actually free up some money while adding a pretty cool upgrade imo _________________ Sink or Swm |

Have you priced out aftermarket dashes? I had over $400 into my Autometer setup and I was buying used gauges!
I fully support using aftermarket gauges as I think the stock units are a joke, but it is not an economical proposition. |

I suggest you get the digi dash since I'm helping them reproduce them. And I can get you I think a 10 or 20 bux discount
However, if you want to keep stock. I think its dakota digital or something, that makes a device that bolts into the trans vss area where if will send a digital pulse to the pcm, yet still allows you to bolt up a speedo cable. The first time I read about it was on s10 v8 swaps in the "jegs that run" book. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

Jags that run. Didn't one of the oregonian crewbies do a mechanical tailshaft conversion? I want to say Alloy? _________________

Yes, alloy does do the speedo gear mechanical tail shaft on the T56. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
