No. Unless it's custom + cowl hood. _________________

No prob.
I'd LOVE to see someone try one though. I always thought there may have been a chance to run one underneath the plenum if someone used solid motor mounts or something but that's a whole 'nother can o beans. |

Haha that would be awesome to see! I didn't know that the stealth ram intake sat up so much taller. I thought it was based on the lt1 style which barely sits higher than the valve covers.

It is much taller with a large gap between the upper and lower plenums. Think more like a dual-quad intake:

| They're hard to even get under a firebird hood. Bracing has to be cut usually. |

True on Firebirds from what I've heard, usually they fit fine under Camaro hoods, but I have an ultra-rare factory hood which comes further down than any other one, so I had to cut the supports out and it still doesn't close flush with the fenders. I'm about an eighth of an inch away from a flush hoodline. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Oh wow! Now I'm curious, how do they flow compared to the lt1 intake? Does the taller lower intake provide more velocity like an old school tunnel ram? Or is it like that for ease of installation (2 part design)
I think I've even seen people adapt lt1 manifolds for gen 1 use by drilling a distributor hole and a remote mounted thermostat. It certainly offers better hood clearance. |
