|
|
This is a PERFECT condition powerbulge hood off a 1983 trans am. The color is white, and it has the "firebird" on the front of it. The paint is perfect, and the hood is perfect as well. I am in olympia, wa 98501. I would perfer local pickup, but if YOU know how to ship it I can work with you as I do not know how to ship something this large. Again, this is a PERFECT condition rare hood. I do not have any pictures but this hood is in mint condition, no damage, defects, chips, etc. Asking 150 or make offer.
EDIT: price dropped. _________________ 1991 RS Mostly stock, the IKM, Import Killing Machine

Yeah, came on early TAs (some with the functional bulge) and later formy's like that beautiful blue one (non functional, stock). I've got an extra TA one from my old formula but the paint is in real bad shape. |

That's chevymad's, right? Is the blockoff plate just taken off or is the earlier 'noid actuated flapper thing on there? _________________

There's a post he made on it here sometime ago. The plate was removed, and an inverted air filter with seal and stuff. It's full time cowl. It's neat |

Can't find my original post.. but here's a few pics of what i did.
Built the air cleaner out of an old stocker.. then used a hood/cowl seal around it so it seals to the hood. So now all the air comes through the hood.

At least we're keepin this thread at the top for him.. but no.. no rainwater problems at all. And it really rains here... we average 120" per year. In 96 we had 144". Most water i've found in the air cleaner is a few drops.. There is a lower recessed area around the outside of the filter though. So I drilled a few holes in this area to let any water that might get in out. The way the hood is curved makes the aluminum plate bend so that the hole is in the highest portion. So any water usually just runs out the sides of the plate instead of down into the filter. |
