I went to tumwater a week or so ago on a good tip from luke, and just about everyone else, that tumwater had a big selection of thirdgens, when i went there was a GTA and a hacked up v6 bird, apparently they crushed them a few days prior. i called around to both yards in belfair, PNP in tacoma, kitsap auto wrecking etc just about every yard i know of and came up with NOTHING, is there a yard somewhere that i can actually find a good thirdgen to pick from? Schultzy has a flywheel for me but i cant find time to make it all the way to oregon to pick it up so if i can pick a t5 flywheel out of a yard to surface id be content, i also need a couple odds and ends out of the cars

Last time I was there, Yank-a-Part in Pouslbo had a fairly good selecton of 3rd gens. On some the motor was already gone and I can't remember if auto or stick for the rest. Up Bond Road and left at the light on Stottlemeyer Road, yard is up a dirt drive on the left - pretty well marked.

If you make it up there, pull a set of injectors for me from a 350 TBI truck annd I'll pay you back for them.

Unfortunatly, there are a couple guys now who are stripping them down for parts to sell , to where that all is left is the crushable parts.

Did anyone watch the season premier of Top Gear last week? They mentioned a site called www.howmanyleft.co.uk They don't have anything like that state side do they? I've always had a hard time finding f-bodies in junk yards.

There is nothing in Whatcom county. There is a decent one in snohomish and lake stevens, but those get stripped by parts buyers if you don't get to them quick eniugh

Tumwater Pull-A-Part crushed a lot of inventory. I was there a few days ago and it was very poor pickings.

Pick-N-Pull by McChord in Lakewood was improved their selection drastically since they were bought out. Their prices have gone up, however.

The last time I was there they had no V8 manual cars. They did have two fourthgens and maybe six thirdgens, so it might be worth a look.

I would agree yank a part has/had pretty good selection. Yes, I am also frustrated with all the people pulling every single part to make a buck.

If I had more money and time to invest, I'd be going around pulling car parts to resale. It's a pretty good business in my opinion. I usually try to help folks out by telling about parts I see or reselling for a fair price because it's not a business for me.

I don't mind paying a little more for parts because I save time from going to the junkyard, but some people think that these things are more valuable then first gen cars. Like 150 bucks for a junkyard guage cluster that you are not even sure works??

Tumwater and Lakewood give 30 day warranties, so who's not doing that?

Lakewood is exchange or store credit only now. No cash back. Not gonna find a second 145 speedo out in the yard just like that.

Also, need receipt for exchange, and I doubt the dude is gonna give you a receipt showing he spent ten bucks on something he's flipping over on you for $150. Rolling Eyes

Will Schultzy ship the flywheel. They arn't that expensive to ship. V8/ 5 spd cars are hard to come across because they didn't make that many of them. I have had about a dozen thrird gens and only two were V8/5spd cars when from the factory.

I was getting $80 - $90 for 145 clusters 3 years ago. I have one in a parts car right now, might be a good time to sell it.

I actually live a few minutes away from the Poulsbo yank-a-part. Everytime I go there I see 6-10 third gens. Not terribly far from where you live Blu, If you go to check it out give me a call and I can help you find it. Your roomate should still have my number! Plus, we need to talk about a sound system! =P good luck bro.
