ok you prom burner dudes, i need some help
using tunerpro rt 2623 & a pocket programmer II
using a 27SF512 chip, its 64k in size
when i install the chip without the stock one in for limp mode, the car wont start at all, if i use just the stock chip it starts
as the Dewster said im setting the bin & block size to 16k & the chip size to 64k when stacking and filling the 4 blocks with the bin file
my check engine light comes on, but does not flash
the fans start immediately
ive tried 2 differnt bins & chips
tried the device start offset at 8000
i pulled code 12, yes i waited for it to flash 3 times, counted it 6 times total |

Chip is burned wrong or is in backwards.
John and I couldn't get those 512 chips to work on his or my car.
Our SES light doesn't flash, when the chip is bad/burned wrong/installed improperly. |

well i thought about the chip being in backwards, so i tried switching it around, still nada
and the ziff socket adapter can only go in 1 way
so its either bad burning on my part or they wont work in our cars
ive gone over details with dewey & cheezy to try to make sure im doing it right |

well i started to think about my problem this am & realized the following
what are the constants of the equation here
ive tried 3 diff bin files
4 diff chips (all 27SF512's)
2 diff programmers, a PPII & moates
2 diff adapters (just to rule it out)
the constants are the same style of chips & the same $6E ecu file
so i tried using the $32b just to see what the effect was
and the car tried to start the whole time i was turning the key, it had never done that before, so im thinking it may be the $6E ecu file is my problem, thanxs, Shawn |
