Yeah they can be fast, especially the DOHC motors in the cobras and machs. But the SOHC like mine are just bleh until at least 5000 rpm.

I JUST read that article. That is insane!! I would never think you could make 1200 hp on a mostly stock motor. Especially without breaking something.

Yeah IF that. It was only a stock replacement. I also had 2.73's. The 383 didn't help either. Or the two trips to the strip. But its kinda hard not to slip with that crappy combo.
