I think you are refering to Top Engine Cleaner. Part # 105002. There is also a new product called upper engine and injector cleaner, part# 88861802.

105002 is the old GM number for 88861802. They ...

Are you sure it's not something more like the fuel vapors are constantly being let out, thus not building any pressure... i.e. if the canister was deleted?
